Lunchtime hangouts began within the Faculty of Science, Medicine, and Health (SMAH) as a space for folk interested in learning how to improve their ally-ship and knowledge of EDI issues.
We usually have a topic, with a relevant video resource that we watch together. We then discuss what we have learned, how what we have seen has has affected our perceptions, empathy, or understanding of the topic, and (if people wish to) share our own experiences.
Our hang-outs are casual, based on mutual respect and the Chatham House Rule.
